The Purpose of this Blog
This blog thing may seems to be a duplication of the egroup,
as stated by Seng Meng. Combined with the class web site
the egroup will probably serve some 79ers.
We still have a big segment of 79ers out in the cold. There
are many who opted out due to the massive email messages
from the egroup. Of course many may not have their
private emails or not familiar with their usage. With hotmail
the capacity is only 2megs. It filled up rapidly especially
when there are attachments and graphics. This blog can cut
the problem when photos are shared here.
Recently, the malwares have started to create problems
for the egroup. Periodically as many as 15-20 were
blacklisted.
With many eg Annie and Siok Lin firewalls have started to
filtered our messages not just the attachments and photos.
These groups of 79ers will be in the dark and not be able to
express their views. Here the thread of discussion is
continuous and preserved. So I hope we 79ers do give this
a chance as what ging yeen and lokun expressed.

I do agree with the initial stepness in the learning curve here. Things are done differently.
We 79ers can climb with ease, maybe puffing a bit along the way.
